DAKO expands into London

Post by

We are delighted to announce the formation of our new London office. After securing some fantastic schemes during 2020, the new office will give DAKO a strong presence in the Capital as we continue to grow.

Chris Roe has been appointed as Managing Director of the London division and will head up the new office. Chris has extensive experience over the last 30 years working across London for the likes of Wimpey Construction, Bovis Construction and Interior plc.

Chris also spent 12 years with Knight Harwood as Surveying Director and board member and helped build the company to a £120 million turnover business during which time he was responsible for the commercial status of projects, managing change and growth of a flourishing business.

In addition to Chris, Peter Burton has been appointed as Commercial Director to rekindle a working relationship with Chris Roe which first started back in 1991 where they were Quantity Surveyors on a new District General Hospital project in Essex. Peter has over 35 years' experience across all sectors including spending 10 years at Persimmon Homes as Managing Director of Special Projects during which time he was responsible for the development of all large multi-storey city-centre apartment schemes across England and Wales.

Following 10 successful years as MD of Persimmon Homes Special Projects, Peter also spent two years working as Commercial Director for Mount Anvil, the central London builder and developer prior to co-founding Lamton Construction in 2014.

Commenting on the new office and appointments, Group Managing Director, Assan Hussain stated

“We are delighted Chris and Peter have agreed to join DAKO. Having worked closely with Chris at Knight Harwood, I know first hand the impact that he will have and likewise Peter’s pedigree certainly speaks for itself. These two key appointments will allow us to continue our growth trajectory as we focus on the London market and offer our bespoke project delivery services to more clients in the region. It is a privilege to have two giants of the London Construction market head-up our new office and I look forward to this next stage of our journey.”
